Gerry is headlining the 2nd Annual Dr. Lonnie Smith Jazz Festival at The Caz in Buffalo, NY, for an evening dedicated to the life and music of the 2017 NEA Jazz Master and Lackawanna native. This year's festival holds special meaning for our community, as Gerry studied with Dr. Lonnie and both Mel Henderson on guitar and Abul-Rahman Qadir performed with him on stage.

This special festival features an exciting lineup of local talent honoring the Hammond organ great. You will hear performances from outstanding high school ensembles, including Lackawanna High School, Global Concepts Charter High School, Pappy Martin Jazz Legacy Collective's Love Supreme School of Music, and the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts. The night also includes a special appearance by the Jay/Sharptet Little Big Band, along with other fantastic acts.
